[Several hours later there is, in fact, a photo of Ardyn sprawled out in the sand on the beach, sitting in Prompto's inbox. His eyes are wide and he's rubbing his jaw, looking up at the camera like 'what the fuck just happened.'

From the way the photo is at a somewhat crazy angle, it's clear that Izunia just whipped it out only long enough to get the snap.]

Izunia-san, I have a question. Are partial transformations something I should give you a heads-up over? Because if so, uh, this is kind of your heads-up. I've found myself with some kind of transformation ability that's limited to just my arms and hands, but uh... yeah. I can make them kind of dragon-like now.

[She'll be waiting on the viewing deck when he arrives, writing something down in a journal.]

[Izunia seems a little tired as he makes his way across the deck, but he's got his usual granddad smile in place by the time he reaches her.]

[She sets the journal aside and stands up, holding her arms out in front of her. The transformation is accompanied by a blue fire effect similar to Persona use, and when the flames fade, Akira's forearms have completely transformed into something draconic. Black scales glint red in the light as she turns her arms over to look at them and flexes her hands--fingers now tipped with claws. She's gotten the hang of the transformation, but it's something she's still clearly marveling at even now. She keeps her arms held out though, for Izunia to inspect if he wants.]

[Izunia watches with a posture that's obviously frozen and actively fighting off the fight-or-flight. Once the transformation stops, at nothing more than her arms, he visibly relaxes.]

They're quite some claws.

I told him the truth. I don't hate him, and I won't allow myself to hate him. Both because that goes against what I'm trying to do, and because you're not the only one with a temper to fear.

You know, I really don't think you have any room to talk about frankly unsettling amounts of compassion.

I don't know if that middle ground exists for me and him. With the others, I at least have an interest or two in common - I can complain about bad cooking with Yuuri or talk magical theory with Junpei, teach Heart to play with a kitten, make chocolates with Arianna. But with him there doesn't seem to be anything at all.

listen, i'm going to be frank because quite honestly i don't want to have to keep playing mediator: please, for the love of evryone's sanity, if you can't give him space than just don't push boundaries here. i'm not asking you to be a jackass, just

think of him as a really pissed off cat. back off and let him approach on his own terms rather than being insistent.
